NEARLY 40,000 IMMIGRANTS WELCOMED BY CANADA IN JULY 2021.

According to the Immigration Minister Macro Mendicino in the year 2021 Canada has welcomed over 1,84,000 new permanent residents.

And Canada is ready to welcome 4,01,000 new residents in the year 2021.

The Federal government announced that Canada welcomed about 39,500 new immigrants in July and even more than 35,700 admitted in June.

Under the Immigration Levels Plan 2021-2023 Canada has decided to welcome 4.01,000 new immigrants each year.

Prior to this pandemic they were planning to welcome 3,41,000 new immigrants.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is going through the most ambitious immigration plan in Canadian history, as it is going to welcome more new immigrants to support Canada's post-covid economical recovery.

Canada has admitted 1,84,000 new immigrants so far this year.

This immigrants numbers in July and June are higher than usual and highest among monthly totals in Canadian History.

IRCC will need more 2,17,000 new immigrants in the remaining five months of the year 2021 (in average 43,400 per month) to achieve this target.

to achieve this target on a monthly basis to close 2021 will be difficult but there is a chance it can be done.

Before the pandemic Canada welcomed 25,000 to 35,000 new immigrants each month.

IRCC is planning several things for make it possible by the end of the year.

  • There are roughly 23,000 confirmation of permanent residence holders, they can move to Canada because the travel restrictions had been removed. And, anyone who has newly approved for permanent residence can now move to Canada.

  • There are six new permanent residency streams were launched in May for approx 90,000 international students and foreign workers living in Canada to become immigrants. IRCC hopes that 40,000 of these applications will converts into immigrants by the end of the day.

  • IRCC holds major Express entry draws throughout the year 2020. As it prioritize the Canadian Experience Class candidates because 90% of the are living in Canada.

IRCC should complete this process of such candidates by the end of this year but vice-versa this covid pandemic could disrupt the IRCC's plans.

If the momentum in permanent resident arrival will increase the Canada come close to its 4,01,000 new immigrants goal.

Even if IRCC manages about 40,000 monthly immigrants to close the year it will get away from its target by welcoming 3,85,000 immigrants, which is also very good in Canadian history, It would still be the second highest in the history.
