Semester Intakes

The United States universities offer two major intakes – Fall (September) and Spring (January), providing flexibility in starting your academic journey. There are many other seasonal intakes as well depending on the university/course that you choose.

Language Proficiency Requirements: To demonstrate your language proficiency, you can provide one of the following test scores:

  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 80

  • IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 6.5

  • PTE: Minimum score of 53

  • Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 105

Academic Criteria:  You are required to have a strong academic background with a minimum of 50% in your previous studies.

  • Work: Students studying postgraduate programs at universities in the UK can work up to 20 hours per week during term time and full-time (40 hours) during vacations.

  • Dependents: Students who enroll in a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate certificate in education, postgraduate diploma, or master's degree program at a university for a duration of more than 12 months can sponsor a dependent. The dependents will be allowed to work.

  • Post-study work visa: Graduates of a UK university with a recognized degree can apply for a Tier 2 - Sponsored Skilled Category Visa before their student visa expires. The normal Tier 2 requirements will apply, but the employer will not have to undergo the Resident Labour Market Test.

  • Graduate entrepreneur visa: Genuine student entrepreneurs with great ideas can also apply for a Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur Category visa), which allows them to stay in the UK to develop their business proposition after completing their course.
